Cleaning an apartment before renting it out: a checklist

Renting out your apartment? Cleanliness is one of the main factors tenants consider. Here's how to prepare your flat for viewings and handover so you find a reliable tenant faster.

1Why pre-rental cleaning is critical

Tenants make up their minds within 30 seconds of walking in. A dirty bathroom, dusty windowsills, and a smelly fridge are enough to send them looking elsewhere. Professional cleaning makes your apartment more appealing and lets you justify the asking rent.

2Checklist: kitchen and bathroom

Clean the stove, oven, and extractor hood — tenants always inspect the kitchen. In the bathroom, remove limescale, tackle mold in the grout, and polish the taps. The fridge should be spotless and odor-free. CleanTime does a deep clean of the kitchen and bathroom in 2–3 hours.

3Checklist: rooms and common areas

Vacuum and mop all floors, wipe baseboards and door handles. Wash the windows — a bright apartment feels more spacious. Check the inside of wardrobes: empty, but clean. If needed, add sofa or carpet dry cleaning — from 80,000 UZS.

4Deep clean or everyday clean?

If the apartment is empty after previous tenants — a deep clean is required. If you're currently living there and just preparing for viewings — a thorough everyday clean is enough. CleanTime will help you choose the right format — call +998 700 800 333.

5When to book the cleaning

Ideally the day before your listing photoshoot and the day before the new tenant moves in. We work every day of the week across all of Tashkent. Book via Telegram @Cleant1me — quick and easy.
